At Fairbanks, we believe that our success is driven by the passion and talent of our people. We are seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team in the Netherlands. You are the ideal candidate if you are passionate about leveraging your technical expertise to drive sales, build customer relationships and promote the value of our open source services.  Your contributions will directly impact our revenue growth by identifying and pursuing sales opportunities within our target market and providing technical services, including implementing, customizing, optimizing and delivery of  open source support services for our customers.   

Fairbanks supports companies that work with open source software. We don’t do this by delivering long-term consultancy or subscriptions, but by working closely together with the open source teams at our clients. Our support offerings include training, consultancy, emergency assistance and managed services for solutions like Kubernetes, OpenStack and Linux. We work from our office in Baarn and service clients from all over the world, last year we have been active in 28 countries based in 6 different continents. 

Tasks you will be working on:

Understand our open source offerings, industry trends, and competitor landscapes. This knowledge will be instrumental in effectively positioning our solutions

Develop account plans, sales forecasts, and growth strategies for each client account. Track progress and report on critical metrics regularly

Showcase value proposition by conducting compelling presentations of our open-source solutions and how they solve specific customer pain points

Build strong relationships with stakeholders, understand organizational dynamics, and collaborate on technical solutions that drive value and ROI

Identify opportunities for upselling additional services, cross-selling complementary solutions, and expanding the scope of existing accounts

Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for growth

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, to ensure a seamless customer experience and successful implementations

Be proactive in engaging with open source conferences, communities, meetups, and workshops and promote our brand and solutions

Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to differentiate our open source solutions in the market, including prospecting, lead qualification, presentations, negotiations, and closing deals

Be creative, work together with marketing and engineering to organise and host open source events
